Our Unruly Built in Shelving

So I know I promised I would show you guys the progress of filling the useless built in entertainment center/shelving in my home and I am just now getting around to it. I have played around with a number of different things and still have yet to decide what works the best in the spaces, especially the large one where a TV is supposed to go. Anyway, see below for yourself and please please feel free to let me know what you like - or what you don't like in each of the three scenarios. Happy Friday!!! ITS THE WEEKEND :)

Its Like Living in a Dream

Honestly, when I first saw this breathtaking view I thought to myself "If I sat here today and died tomorrow I would be happy." Oh no, there is more to be seen. Are you kidding me? This Vancouver builder Keystone Projects, Ltd. sure knows how to melt my heart. This home is absolutely gorgeous from the kitchen to the bathroom and don't even get me started on the backyard. Oh. my. gosh. I don't think I could ever leave if this were my home.

They have captured exactly what I think is necessary in any home...intertwining both modern and traditional and making it work. I can't get enough of the strong materials and exposed stone walls, it really creates a natural environment. The floor to ceiling windows can't help but draw your attention outside over and over.

I need to have an outdoor space like this. I refuse to live without it. ;)

Hope everyone has a wonderful Friday! It's the weekend....

If only we were all spending it relaxing in this amazing home.

American Apparel Neons

Today I am loving the neon nail polish from American Apparel. These super fun colors are a perfect buy for summer! Such a simple and easy way to add a pop of color to your daily routine. With the great price tag of only $6... who can beat it? I love love love the neon yellow.

I am also soooo excited about the new and improved version of the clutch that I talked about here. The patent leather is super sexy and gives the clutch more of a dressy look. Although it does have an $18 price increase...I think this just might be worth it ;)

Sarah Tuttle's Stylish Home

I completley adore the way that Sarah Tuttle has her home decorated. It creates such a lovely harmony between old, new, and even vintage across the entire space. It is almost as if you can tell that most of the pieces she has in her home have been collected over time and even if they haven't...they still tell a story. It proves to be a true splash of her personality and design taste not to mention the fact that it is totally relatable and welcoming. I enjoy the fact that it doesn't seem "staged" and that you can actually feel at home.

Black and Yellow Delight

I was instantly drawn to this room designed by Michelle from 4 men 1 lady. Maybe because of the bold color scheme or the touches of ruffles to add just the amount of girlieness but I am swooning over her home office/den. What a fun room that is sure to provide surges of inspiration for her from day to day. I love how clean all of her organization is as well. Happy Monday everyone!

The Glamourai Sure is Glamorous

Today I found Kelly Framel's blog The Glamourai and the first thing that completely caught my eye aside from how beautiful she is was her super organized, clean, and put together kitchen. I especially love the vintage ice bucket on top of the cake stand...I may just have to steal this idea for myself! Her lucite shelving from the container store is also totally clever when your space is lacking storage necessary items!

Happy Happy Weekend Everyone! :)

Nasty Gal Lookbook

Have any of you ever heard the song "Nasty Girl" by Notorious BIG?! It happens to be one of my all time favorite songs that brings me back to the care free days of high school.

So...needless to say, when I was first introduced to the Nasty Gal website I immediately associated it with one of the greatest hit songs. (probably only in my opinion..but hey! you can't help what you fall in love with).

Nostalgia for "Nasty Girl" song = automatic love for Nasty Gal Clothing.

Okay...so this song has nothing---at all---to do with the Nasty Gal site or any of their clothes but I thought I would be quirky today since I am feeling much better. I first came across Nasty Gal earlier this year and absolutely adore the effortless style and vintage feel of their products. Today, I was even more excited when I saw the June 2011 Lookbook. How fun are these outfits?!

If I can offer 3 words of advice... SHOP. NASTY. GAL. xo

Perfect Penthouse

I stumbled upon this amazing listing for a Park Avenue penthouse that really made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Although, with all this heat in Scottsdale right now, a great home SHOULD technically make me feel, cool, calm and place a cocktail in my hand. ;)

Can't you just imagine enjoying a beverage on this beautiful terrace? It wraps around the entire penthouse... I DIE for it.

So many beautiful living areas filled with comfort and style. Totally lovin' the leopard rug!

A clean, serene, and beautiful master bedroom and bathroom.

The pink and purple palace fit for a princess :)

Tomorrows Friday! Stay tuned tonight for the latest photos of our unruly built in shelving that I have been attempting to tame.
