If you are anything like me, you may find yourself in quite the long love affair with lucite. Lucite chairs, lucite trays, and even lucite handbags - I have loved this see through trend in every which-way. That is why it is no wonder I'm just as smitten with the trendy lucite heel! I believe it all started when I saw these to-die-for Jeffery Campbells on a recent browse through Nordstrom's shoe department. Now I simply can't get enough. How do you feel about lucite kicks? Do tell!
The holiday season is in full swing and I'm sure most of you are just as busy as I have been, but I am proud to say I am finally back in action. This weekend I have been sure to count my blessings as an ode to the recent Thanksgiving holiday. Sure it's okay to be thankful every so often for your "things" in life. You know, the ones we so often get caught up in worrying about. Like Me? I was thankful to find this new leather skater skirt on black Friday! However, try extra hard to take a step back and focus on what truly matters.
Like lazy Sundays on the couch, The smell of fall and...if you're lucky, that unconditional love from your family and friends.
Happy Friday! This weekend SCM and I are heading North to Prescott, AZ to celebrate our three year anniversary. Weather-man is calling for rain and possibly even snow and I must say I am so beyond excited to get away from it all and totally relax and unplug. No TVS, just us - and our little quaint private cabin. Rainboots, cozy scarves, & hot coco and Kahlua are all packed, look out for pictures next week. Cheers!
Recently, I was given a bottle of White Sands Orchid Oil by a family friend who also happens to be a hair stylist. She let me in on a little secret weapon. I have always been partial to the uber popular Moroccan Oil, Never dreaming I'd come across something I loved even more. Orchid Oil not only makes your hair so sleek and smooth but it smells SOO darn good. Like roses and orchids and pure bliss. Whats even better? Its affordable. I'm telling you, you have to try it. I am totally hooked.
As I'm sure all of you are well aware, today is election day. As if there were any way to escape it, right? It has flooded our news feeds, twitter trends, and blog posts for the last few months with individuals aiming to express their opinions and party-oriented pride. No matter how Left or Right you may sit, voting is a right to truly cherish. Thousands of Americans protested and pushed for us as their future to have rights in determining our leadership. Tomorrow evening, no matter who is elected to lead us moving forward, may we all rest easy that we did our very small but very important part.
Here's to us, here's to our future selves, and here's to our right to vote as an American. Cheers!
