Organize It

Getting things done. Thats my motto for the week (or trying)...I think this post fits perfectly! Ever since I saw the write up on the Who What Wear offices via The Coveteur awhile back I have constantly had nail polish in the back of my mind. I find myself paying more attention to different brands of polishes,seasonal colors, and now that my collection has grown larger I've started thinking of fun ways to display them. I think I may have come to a conclusion (my favorite is the bottom apothecary jars arrangement)...until I need more space...o boy the possibilities! There are so many fun ideas...Happy Tuesday

Makin' Moves

My weekend went by much to quickly! Mostly because it was jammed packed with events, celebrations, and entertaining. I told you all what I was up too on Friday and my excitement about The Phoenix Style Collective launch -- it was truly amazing! I loved every minute of getting to finally meet familiar faces in person, make some new connections, and even enjoy some tasty treats! It was a total success and hats off to the lovely individuals who put on this fantastic event. I look forward to many more in the future. I have posted some snapshots below for all to enjoy.

Tonight marks the launch party for the Phoenix Style Collective and I couldn't be more excited (I'll admit it, I am a bit nervous too...eek). I was lucky to be able to catch wind of this awesome endeavor by following two amazing local bloggers, Courtney from Phoenix is Haute and Katherine from A Bit of Sparkle Farkle. I want to thank them for tweeting and posting about this great opportunity for gals like me to connect with other style obsessed individuals who are close by. I think that this was something MAJOR that the Phoenix area was lacking and I'm grateful that someone had the idea and determination to finally set it in motion. I'll be sure to let everyone know how it goes, it looks like there are some great things lined up. Happy WEEKEND!!

Ultimate Accessory

It goes without question that a belt can make any outfit. It creates that "just right" finished look and can often be considered essential in making an outfit POP. I have recently been noticing a trend of abnormal belting ways. I love the look of wearing a belt over a cardigan, sweater, or chambray button up! It creates the perfect touch and really ties any outfit together with ease. Preppy perfect is what I will call it! What is your signature belt wearing style?

Creativity Soars

I must say I had a fantastic Sunday, and it was the perfect way to end my weekend full of celebrating. It was nice to relax, enjoy some quality time with my roomies, and bask in a little creativity. I went to Michaels because I was feeling crafty and I am so glad I finally decided to pick up the canvas and paint that I have been meaning to get for quite some time now. I had never painted before and I really did enjoy how liberating it was. See my snapshots of my Sunday below. I recently downloaded the Cuptakes App for my iPhone background choices. I happened to hear buzz about it around this 'ole blogosphere somewhere (sorry I can't remember where exactly it was). Throwbacks

Fashion trends typically hit it big and then often die out before years end. Styles circulate across decades and before you know it high-tops and neon are back and saturated throughout all the major fashion houses and mainstream retail stores. This is something I absolutely adore about fashion. I love the fact that I can look back through my Mom's old pictures and actually think she looks stylish. Now, her long straight hair parted down the middle and her midriff bearing ensembles would fit right in. Sunglasses are another item who's current shapes play on the years prior. Vintage photographs tend to really inspire me lately. Maybe its because I hope that some of the styles I see will eventually resurface?! Happy Tuesday!

A Belated Birthday Post

Friday was my Birthday, and I turned the lovely age of 24! I can't believe I've almost been around for a quarter of a century...only one more year until I can officially start my quarter life crisis...hehe! I didn't get the chance to do a post so I wanted to quickly put one together today before I dive into being back in the swing of things. I had a wonderful birthday and was able to celebrate it with those I love the most :). Hopefully my 24th year of life is the BEST one yet and holds promise of many good things to come.

MIA...

I have been all sorts of crazy busy this past week with my full time job. I'm currently in Vegas for our annual convention and I truly apologize for my lack of posting. I miss you guys! My days have been long, tiresome, and naturally a little bit of fun too! I even got to drag my co-workers (who are all men, mind you) into the Miu Miu store. You know I Practically fell in love with every darn sparkly thing there. Hope everyone is having a wonderful week!

Bla Bla Bla...

Blogging is a strange thing, I write on here everyday because I'm inspired by something that sparkles, something pretty, or just because I feel drawn to a certain thing or feel a certain way that day. Sometimes though, it takes a little bit of effort to feel that inspiration that keeps me driven. Today was one of those days, not knowing what I felt like posting about and wondering if I even would. I never want my posts to become stale (if i'm not inspired when I write it, why would someone when they read it?). Anyway, because I didn't "connect" with a blog theme today, I thought I would share some of my recent Instagrams with you all. It's funny though, even when I thought this would be a rather bland post...as soon as I started to edit the photos and add the text to my collage I got my mojo back.

Lesson: Sometimes it takes a little extra push to get that desired outcome.

Hello, 2012 - Nice to Meet You!

I Hope everyone had a safe and fantastic New Year! I cannot wait to see what 2012 has in store in the year ahead. I have many things to look forward too and the start to my year has been anything but quiet! Although I did enjoy this Holiday "coma" we've all been in throughout the past few weeks - its nice to get back in the saddle and attempt to live up to all the new year's resolutions! Did you have one? I know I've made more than a few. My motto is the more you make...the better chance you have at keeping one ;).
