Here is whats packed in my beach bag this time....

What are you dreaming of wearing for the upcoming holiday weekend?
2 - Forever 21 Openwork Floppy Hat
3 - Free People Solid Sophia Top
Below is what I wore to a wonderful brunch at La Grande Orange with miss Kat of With Love From, Kat while she was in town. A special thanks to her for snapping these pics after our mini-date!

I love Sarah Yates equally as much as I lover her blog House In The Hills, and if you must know this is where I found these amazing little treats. Behold....

See Sarah's recipe and instructions here. Enjoy! PS -It's almost Friday

I will admit it. I sometimes impulse buy. Like tonight, I went into the grocery store looking for some lunch items for the week and I was immediately distracted by the pink and white streamers and 40% Off signs that were radiating from the beauty isle. (It was at Albertsons for those of you who are local - super cheap deals so make sure to check it out!)
Naturally, I had to take a peek...at the isle I typically pass right by on any other day. But today was different, there was a sale. I managed to find myself one thing I actually did need (my Revlon eye pen has FINALLY died after almost a year, believe it or not) and two that were just for my own satisfaction. I must say, it turned out to be a great night and I'm super pumped about my new purchases!

1. Revlon "Minted" Nail Enamel |was $6.29| Paid $3.77|
2. Revlon Colorstay Eye Pen |was $10.49 | Paid $6.29| <--Hands down THE BEST eyeliner I've ever had. Highly recommend.
3. Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick "Siren" |was $9.49 | Paid $5.69| <-- A GORG orangey red. Can't wait to rock it!

Heres to hoping for one day where...
All staplers will glitter in gold
Your home stash of bubbly is always chilled (for that last-minute celebration)
every bold entry way was complete with a ceramic great dane
AND all puzzles were vibrantly red and heart shaped

The derby winner ironically named "I'll have another" fit seamlessly into the theme of the entire weekend, and if you were out celebrating "Cinco de Derby" ..you know why :) I decided to keep it light and simple with my outfit...flowery and feminine for the derby yet short and summery for Cinco de Mayo!
Here's to hoping your Monday moves swiftly! And PS - My new darker do's debut outfit post (I'm getting more and more used to it as the days go by)
